Welcome to my Home Page!
I enjoy listening to a variety of music from Tschaikovsky to Tina Turner. Even some of The Spice Girls tracks appeal to me. However, my all time favourites are the archetypal Glam Pop icons Agnetha, Frida, Benny and Bjorn aka ABBA. Their songs have deceptively simple melodies which will continue to be played for decades. Thankfully, their unique dress sense won't - even in the anything goes 90s. and in the new millenium.
I have played a variety of sports, but nowadays I mainly whack shuttles on the badminton court. Like Chris, I play for Horsham Arun Badminton Club and also enjoy jive dancing. If you haven't tried jive, you're missing out on the world of Slinky Seducers, Catapults, Pretzels and much, much more.
As well as playing sport I also enjoying hillwalking, reading and gardening. My most memorable hiking excursion was into the Porcupine Mountains in Michigan when I was an exchange student from King Alfred's College in Winchester. The scenery was stunning.

Here I am at the conclusion of the hike overlooking Lake of the Clouds.
When I'm not listening to music, playing badminton or running up a huge phone bill when surfing the Net, I enjoy watching all the Star Trek series, Pinky and The Brain cartoons, Black Adder, Fawlty Towers and keeping up with current affairs. Visiting the cinema is also an enjoyable past time, especially any films starring Tom Hanks and the '90s epic, Titanic, which captivated my imagination and inspired me to read up on the liner. However, the best film ever to grace the big screen is Wizard of Oz from the golden era of Hollywood. It too would have scooped a handful of Oscars in 1939 if it had not been for the release of Gone With The Wind in the same year. Oz broke many technological boundaries and brought us the immortal songs Somewhere Over the Rainbow and We're Off to See the Wizard.
The world's best soap opera is of course BBC Radio 4's The Archers which I was introduced to (Chris would say indoctrinated with) from birth. If you haven't listened in then do so. You don't know what you're missing. It's not just about farming. There's plenty of intrigue and colourful characters!!
Well, that's all for now.
